Artist Statement
I am always looking for new instruments and sounds to study, sample, and work with. I constantly find myself recording one-of-a-kind instruments, objects, and or spaces around the world.
Every instrument has its own voice, its own character.
Every string, player, room, train, car, and door squeak has its own depth.
These are the seeds of my music.
If you start with something original, you end up with something original.
I believe that every great story must have its own sonic identity.
Whether it’s a live set, an interactive installation, or a season of TV, I’m most inspired by the conversations, creative processes, and stories of the collaborators involved.
My passion is working with singular sounds, moments, and voices. My work thrives on a process fuelled by story, emotion, and collaboration.
Whenever I can find the time to work on my own projects, I make electronic-based music and play live sets under the name LØ
